Nancy W. Magee, CFP®, EA, CDFA

Nancy W. Magee, CFP®, EA, CDFA, is President of Financial Planning Advisors, a firm she founded in June 1987. She made a career change to financial planning in 1981 after receiving a B.A. degree, cum laude, from Colby College and an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Kutztown University. In 1984 Nancy was awarded the professional designation of Certified Financial Planner (CFP®). She holds securities registrations with LPL Financial, member FINRA, based in San Diego, CA. She is also a licensed agent for annuities and life, health, disability and long-term care insurance.

In 1990, Nancy passed the exam to qualify as an Enrolled Agent (EA) with the Internal Revenue Service, which allows her to represent clients during audits and practice before the IRS. In February 1998, Nancy received the Certified Divorce Analyst (CDFA) professional designation. In 2003 Nancy received training in “Life Planning” with George Kinder, one of the founders of the Life Planning movement. She is a member of the Financial Planning Association, the Berks County Estate Planning Council, the National Association of Enrolled Agents, the National Association of Tax Professionals (former member of the PA Board of Directors), and the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts.

Nancy is co-host of the Berks Community TV program “Financial Planning Profiles.” Her current community activities include serving as a Board Member of Opportunity House in Reading (past Board President), Board Member of Family Guidance Center, Trustee for the Berks Community Trust, and member of Kutztown University College of Business Advisory Board. She has been an officer of Berks Women’s Network and has been honored with their Beacon Award. Nancy was appointed by the Berks County Commission for Women and served as the Commission’s Treasurer.

Born in Philadelphia, Nancy has made Berks County her home for about 30 years. She has been married to her husband Dave for more than 12 years, is the mother of two grown children, and enjoys the company of her two cats. She frequently travels to visit her son in the Pacific Northwest, likes to vacation in the Southwestern U.S. and enjoys visiting art museums and attending the Reading Symphony concerts.

Tricia J. Salvatore Ludgate

Tricia J. Salvatore Ludgate joined the team at Financial Planning Advisors in 1991 and currently specializes in areas of retirement planning, college planning, individual tax matters and issues affecting older citizens. Tricia holds her Securities 7 and 63 registrations and is a registered representative with LPL Financial, San Diego, California. She is licensed in the areas of annuities, life, health, disability and long-term care insurance with the Pennsylvania Insurance Department.

A native of Berks County, Tricia is a graduate of Reading High School and Kutztown University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management. Tricia continues her involvement with Kutztown University as a volunteer working as a team leader on their Business & Industry campaign in conjunction with the annual Decisions Makers Forum.

Tricia has a strong passion for family. When she’s not at work, the devoted mother of two spends time with her children, her extended family and her dogs. At home you can often find Tricia tending her garden, working on home improvement projects and walking her dogs. She is an avid reader and practices yoga and meditation daily. When given the opportunity, Tricia loves to travel as well.

For more than 20 years, Tricia has been a dedicated volunteer at Berks AIDS Network, Co-County Wellness Service where she is currently as active member of the Board of Directors. Tricia also writes articles related to finance and tax for the Berks County Women’s Journal several times a year. She is a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals, the Berks County Estate Planning Council and the Berks Elder Network.

Julie M. Kemp, CFP®

Julie M. Kemp, CFP® received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Grove City College in Grove City, PA and a Masters degree in Personal Financial Planning from the College for Financial Planning. She decided to pursue a career in personal financial planning after completing an extensive internship with Financial Planning Advisors for two summers. Upon graduation, Julie worked in western Pennsylvania for an independent financial planning firm for a year before joining Financial Planning Advisors full-time in 2003. Julie currently holds  securities registrations with LPL Financial. She is also a licensed insurance agent. In 2006, Julie was awarded the distinction of the Certified Financial Planner professional designation.

Julie is a member of the Financial Planning Association and active with the Philadelphia Tri-State Chapter. She volunteers her time with Bridges, a young professional group that helps to raise funds for Opportunity House. She is also actively involved with her church, Shillington Church of Christ, and is a member of their finance committee. She volunteers in the summer as a counselor for kids at Camp Manatawny. Julie enjoys spending time with her husband Kyle, their pets, and their extended family and friends. Julie plays the viola and the piano and hopes to continue her passion for music throughout her life.
